Having opened her first gallery in Hyde Park in 2006, Nicola Hurst is delighted to announce the arrival of her second store an exclusive boutique in the prestigious grounds of the Royal William Yard in Plymouth.

NH2 opens this month within the new development at Residence 1, overlooking the green, within the former naval victualing yard.

Nicola studied jewellery making at Middlesex Polytechnic before moving back to Plymouth and opening her first gallery, Nicola Hurst Designer Jewellery eight years ago. Not only does she make and sell her own work, (understated sophisticated pieces based on simple lines and shapes) but she also teaches the art of jewellery making in her recently expanded workshop. She explains: “my students range from those with no experience to others with a good knowledge, and in age from early twenties to a lady that has just turned 80. They all share a desire to do something creative, challenging and therapeutic in their spare time.”

NH2 will stock some exclusive Nicola Hurst designs and will concentrate on stocking contemporary jewellery made by sought after independent designers, as well as hand forged metalwork, handmade clocks, unique leather handbags and much, much more.

Nicola will be dividing her time between the Hyde Park gallery and the Royal William Yard boutique where she will be able to continue to offer a personal relaxed service to her customers.

Nicola has built up a strong team of sales representatives over the years and is delighted to welcome Ashley and Emma who will be managing NH2.

Ashley is delighted to be facing the challenges of the new store. “I’m really excited to be leading the team at NH2, I know we have amazing stock from fabulous, renowned makers which I am sure will prove very popular with old and new clients alike.”

Nicola is very ambitious and if NH2 proves as popular as her first gallery, customers will have their expectations exceeded in terms of quality and choice, and whenever she has any spare time, she’ll be back at her bench creating more amazing collections:
