It's been a very busy couple of months in the lead up to Summer.
Last weekend I visited The Contemporary Crafts Fair at Bovey Tracey, Devon. Anyone who has visisted will know what an excellent show it is and how high the standard of work shown is. I always see many current suppliers and its a great chance to see their latest pieces of work. This year I also found a couple of new suppliers for our Christmas Exhibtion, I know it seems a long way off but I have to plan ahead. I may give a sneaky preview in the autumn blog.
Now summer is upon us, the sun is shining today anyway. The Summer Exhibiton starts in the gallery this week with 2 new jewellery collections by Caroline Lukehurst and Kate Wimbush. Both these jewellers make jewellery to a very high standard and in my opinion it is very summery.
The evening classes are drawing to end this term, all the people attending have made some wonderful pieces, it can all be seen on the Facebook page, here is the link. ishttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Nicola-Hurst-Designer-Jewellery/118350384895339?ref=hl
I've also been extremely busy with commissions, from wedding rings to bangles, cufflinks to necklaces. This is one necklace I particularly enjoyed making as the lady in question wore it on her wedding day.
